Abstract/Objectives
Problem-Based Learning (PBL) is an instructional approach distinct from conventional methods, emphasizing student-centered learning by exploring real-world issues to achieve knowledge and skill acquisition objectives. This course will utilize the old city area of Hsinchu City as the learning environment, employing the PBL method to guide students in discovering issues, integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application, and developing viable solutions to problems, thus fostering unique experiential learning encounters. Collaborating with Chiba University in Japan and local high schools, this course will see Tsing-Hua students teaming up with students from Chiba University and local high schools for a continuous nine-day PBL workshop.
