Sustainable Development Goals
Abstract/Objectives
The IMBA program at the National Tsing Hua University fosters not only global business acumen but also a strong sense of community and environmental responsibility. This is exemplified through the annual beach cleaning event, specifically designed for IMBA students. This initiative invites both incoming and second-year international students to actively participate in a community service project that entails cleaning local beaches. By involving students in this hands-on environmental effort, the activity aims to instill a deeper understanding and commitment towards sustainability and ecological preservation. Moreover, this event serves as a platform for enhancing interpersonal bonds between international students and the local community, facilitating cultural exchange and mutual respect through collaborative community service. This beach cleaning event not only contributes to the physical betterment of the local environment but also strengthens community ties and enriches the students' educational experience by emphasizing the importance of civic engagement and environmental stewardship.
