In the 114th academic year, five events related to Vietnam were held to deepen the understanding of teachers and students regarding Vietnamese history, literature, society, and culture, and to promote interdisciplinary exchange. The activities included a lecture by Professor Nguyễn Hoàng Phương titled "What is Vietnamese Studies?", which guided teachers and students in understanding the scope and methods of Vietnamese research; an assistant professor, Lò Y Văn, shared a presentation titled "Endless Rice Fields: The Mekong Delta and Literature," discussing the interconnection between Vietnamese literature and geographical environments; and Professor Chen Ruihua explained the role of museums in national memory and historical representation in his talk "How does the Vietnam National History Museum Construct National Narratives?". In addition to academic lectures, the center also organized a Vietnamese food carnival, allowing teachers and students to experience Vietnamese culinary culture firsthand, and featured a screening of the Vietnamese film "We Live Here," showcasing the daily lives and social issues of contemporary Vietnamese people. Through these five events, participants not only enhanced their understanding of Vietnamese history and culture but also improved their cross-cultural thinking and research interests, laying a practical foundation for the training program for Vietnamese studies talents at our university and promoting diverse outcomes in academic exchange and cultural understanding.
