Abstract/Objectives
In order to reduce the problem of leftover food, some student restaurants and shops in our school have established a promotion mechanism for fresh food before the expiration of the shelf life, which not only provides a new solution to the problem of food waste, but also expands the benefits of leftover food, which is beneficial to the wallet and environmental protection. Create a win-win situation and make "Food Care and Love the Earth" a national movement.
Results/Contributions
Food Recycling Commitment Programs or Food Waste Initiatives Promoted by All Canteen Counters in the School:
1. Buffet: After 7:00 p.m., a side dish will be given at a discount to reduce food waste. Surplus food is provided to livestock farmers.
2. Convenience store: The sticker marked with "Friendly Food Light" is valid for fresh food products that expire at 24:00 on the same day. From 17:00, you can enjoy a 30% discount to promote the "Food Wise" action.
3. Shuimu Department Store: There is a special counter for immediate products, and the drinks within 2 days of the validity period will be cleared at a super low price of 30% to 50% to reduce food waste.
