Abstract/Objectives
In the current global pandemic, we have implemented advanced sensors and algorithms to upgrade elevator buttons, enabling motion activation and reducing the need for direct contact with surfaces.
Our team has achieved significant progress, completing the system architecture and currently conducting rigorous integration testing. Our goal is to apply this innovative solution to various public facilities, starting with elevators and extending to ticket vending machines and other similar devices. Continuous improvement of our system will remain a priority, and we eagerly seek support and funding to further advance our idea.
Results/Contributions
The prototype of our system has undergone successful field trials, demonstrating the effectiveness of both finger and knuckle activation methods.
Our vision is to widely implement sensor-based buttons on campus, reducing the risk of direct contact with surfaces and ensuring a sanitary environment. We value user feedback and aim to optimize our technology through their experiences. Ultimately, we strive to extend our solution beyond the university campus, fostering inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable communities.
