Abstract/Objectives
The course objective is to introduce common mechanical working machines. The geometry of workpiece is designed by CAD. The route of cutting tool is planned and simulated by CAM. Finally, the most appropriate working method is chosen for the manufacture of the workpiece. In this course, the software such as AutoCAD, Creo and MasterCAM are used and operated to manufacture a workpiece with CNC machining.
Results/Contributions
The content of this course includes: exhibition of machine tool TIMTOS 2022, milling machine and laser cutting machine operation, AutoCAD, MasterCAM, Midterm project-puzzle of monopoly, Final project-business card case and Keyshot rendering. By this course, students understood common mechanical working machines and its working method. Through Midterm and Final project, students can learn how to design a product, plan the working process, manufacture and embellish the product.
