Abstract/Objectives
In order to develop English as foreign language (EFL) learners’ fluency for communication, English teachers must use effective instructional strategies such as providing feedback and guidance or structured repeated reading. The instructor designing cued dialogues on the authentic context and integrated Clips Application to foster 24 fifth graders’ oral fluency in an elementary school in the northwest city in Taiwan. The fifth graders worked in pairs, completed the cued dialogues, and recorded their dialogues on Clips. Through self- and peer-checking their written cued dialogues and recorded clips, the fifth graders completed their video clips as oral products.
Results/Contributions

Based on the analysis of clip videos, written cued dialogues, interviews, lesson plan designs, and the teacher’s reflection notes, this study had the following major findings. First, the top grammatical error that the fifth graders made was the third person singular verb. The top pronunciation error that they made during the video clips was final consonant omission on the plural nouns. Secondly, the fifth graders’ self-checking and pair-checking on cued dialogues and video clips reduced their grammatical and pronunciation errors. Therefore, their oral fluency improved gradually. Suggestions on effective instructional strategies on designing cued dialogues and integration of Clips Application to foster elementary school learners’ oral fluency were provided.
