The “Citizen Judge Act” has just passed on Aug, 2020. Starting 2023, Taiwan's citizens will get the chance to have their say in the judicial system. This new judicial system lets everyday people join professional judges in deciding court cases. Therefore, the communication between legal professionals and citizen will be especially important. Thus, the study is endeavoring to build an interdisciplinary platform through the innovative course “Law and Literature”, which is also in the legal and general education of university. By means of problem-based learning (PBL), and the moot court program, we can promote the discussion between students in law and other departments. Also, it can benefit the deliberation in criminal trial, which will consist of three professional judges and six citizen judges.
