Abstract/Objectives
The Hsinchu City 2024 Lifelong Education Teacher Professional Development Workshop aims to enhance the teaching skills and knowledge of lifelong education instructors. The event focuses on community college development, lifelong learning trends, and experiential learning, benefiting teachers from Hsinchu's community colleges and related institutions. Organized by the Ministry of Education and Hsinchu City Government alongside local community colleges, the workshop offers a total of 36 hours of professional development across six days, from March 22 to April 13, 2024. Participation is free, but attendees are responsible for their own transportation and meals, with an optional lunch available for NT$100. The event is open to various educators and individuals interested in lifelong education, with a maximum capacity of 70 participants per session, on a first-come, first-served basis. Various venues will host the workshops, with transportation and parking details provided for attendees.

Hsinchu City 2024 Lifelong Education Teacher Professional Development Workshop

I. Purpose of the Event

  1. Understand the philosophy of community college development and lifelong learning trends to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
  2. Provide professional development for lifelong education instructors through theories of lifelong education, local knowledge studies, and experiential learning courses, improving the professional teaching capabilities of teachers in Hsinchu City's community colleges and other lifelong education institutions.
  3. Enhance the teaching skills of teachers in Hsinchu City's community colleges and lifelong education institutions, fostering a professional faculty for lifelong education.
  4. Strengthen teachers’ understanding of the philosophy behind community college operations, encourage diverse learning, and enable lifelong educators to incorporate community college experiences into their teaching methods.
  5. Promote diverse exchanges between community college instructors and other lifelong education practitioners.

  • Parking Information: On-campus parking is not available. Please use the nearby Dongda Parking Lot, Renyi Parking Lot, motorcycle parking spaces, or take public transportation.

V. Workshop Fees

  • Free of charge
  • Participants are responsible for their own transportation and lunch (optional pre-order lunch box for NT$100).

VI. Eligible Participants

Teachers, administrative staff, and individuals interested in lifelong education, including:

  • Instructors at Hsinchu City's community colleges, senior learning centers, adult basic education programs, and supplementary schools
  • Those interested in teaching at community colleges or senior learning centers
  • Anyone with an interest in adult education

VII. Number of Participants

  • Maximum of 70 participants per session (registration is on a first-come, first-served basis).
