In National Tsing Hua University, motorbikes are prohibited on campus, and cars are not an affordable means of transportation for the students. In addition to buses, students choose bicycles for commuting. School students can also acquire a bike from the annual "舊車認新主" activity. While there comes the problems of the poor condition and safety of bicycles is questionable. Therefore, we hold the Bike repair and maintenance event annually to provide bike repair services for teachers and students, hoping that the reuse rate of the abandoned bicycles will gradually increase and that the disposal rate of the used bicycles will drop significantly. NTHU cycling club gives lectures about bike repair every year. Apply what we learned, we put them into practice right after the lecture, and renew bikes collected from campus. Through the process, we learn more techniques from experienced seniors and interact with peers. After some time, bikes that may be abandoned are now able to hit the road again. We hope this activity can be hold annually to serve teachers and students.
