Sustainable Development Goals

Abstract/Objectives

This course will offer students basic numerical methods for solving differential equations such as ordinary differential equations, partial differential equations, the Poisson equation, the heat equation, the wave equation, or the convection-diffusion-reaction equation etc. Numerical methods include finite difference, finite element, direct, iterative, or Newton's methods. This course will be useful for studying various physical problems in science or engineering. It is one of the basic courses in scientific computing, numerical analysis, and applied mathematics.

Results/Contributions

Most of the students in this course work in technology companies after graduation.
