2025 Campus Green Lab Management

1. In line with NTHU's Environmental Protection and Occupational Safety and Health Management Policy, various campus sustainability development initiatives are continuously promoted. These include fostering campus biodiversity, responsible dining consumption, green procurement, energy conservation and carbon reduction, and resource recycling and reuse, aiming to create a green campus.

2.Through the inventory management system, the laboratory sites, chemicals and personnels are registered for online management. The laboratory chemicals (toxic substances) exchange platform and the storage space is established to exchange chemicals that are no longer used in laboratories. This product placement and exchange platform enhances the effective use of chemicals among laboratories and avoids excess inventory of unused chemicals on campus, which in turn, improves the utilization and safety of chemical storage.

(1) Establish chemical lifecycle management methods based on the characteristics of different experimental fields.

(2) Promote the purchase of chemical packaging specifications that enable effective use to reduce waste at the source.

(3) Establish appropriate chemical operation cycles in laboratories.

(4) Advocate chemical sharing to minimize redundant purchases.

3.The amount of toxic chemicals used in 2025 is reduced 585kg compared with that of 2024.
