Abstract/Objectives
The New Aesthetics of Jingju Course combines literature, history, music, and performance. In this course, Jingju experts and scholars lead students to explore Jingju, and, for the first time, professional actors from the GuoGuang Opera Company guide students to learn the expressions of Jingju and do on-stage performances. In addition, the related exhibition held by the library introduces An-Chi Wang, who has an essential influence on the development of Jingju. The exhibition also presents the interesting and thriving contents of the course and narrows the distance between the public and the art of Jingju.
Results/Contributions
Through the exhibition, everyone can understand that Jingju is no longer just a traditional art, but undergoes continuous innovation and development. We hope to attract more and more young people to participate in the ever-changing traditional art, so that Jingju can go further.
