Sustainable Development Goals
Abstract/Objectives
In 2014, NTHU removed the dumpster away according to the government’s “Keep Trash off the Ground” policy. The policy reduces the wastes on campus. In addition, NTHU makes effort to promote the waste sorting and recycling.
Results/Contributions

1.Following NTHU environmental protection and occupational safety and health management policies, we will continue to promote various sustainable development programs on campus, including initiatives for campus biodiversity, responsible dining service consumption, green procurement, energy saving and carbon reduction, and resource recycling and reuse, all aimed at creating a green campus.

2.Annually organize informational sessions on campus resource recycling and reducing the use of disposable items, inviting various campus departments to participate, to continuously promote waste reduction at the source and recycling efforts.

3.Collaborate with relevant authorities to implement various source reduction measures and activities to minimize the use of disposable items on campus.

4.From 2013 to 2024, the annual municipal solid waste generated per capita decreased from 0.31 to 0.15.
