Abstract/Objectives
Explore the interactive process between science and technology and social culture, emphasizing that the development of technology (such as technological inventions) is not external to social culture (such as politics, gender, etc.) but is shaped by social culture. Therefore, by understanding the complex process of interaction between technology and social culture, we hope to go beyond the simplified ideas of "science is purely objective and neutral" or "people can only passively accept the impact of technology on society" and think positively. The current and future technological society. This course expands students’ perspectives on science and technology through three units: analysis of scientific and technological products, actual state of scientific and technological research, construction of scientific knowledge and daily life, and provides conceptual tools to analyze modern society that is inseparable from scientific knowledge and technological products. Establish a perspective to reflect on science and technology from a socio-cultural perspective.
