Abstract/Objectives

The current master’s student serves as the advisor for the Yi-feng Philosophy and Critical Thinking Club at National Hsinchu Girls’ Senior High School, promoting the popularization of philosophy and continuing the long-standing cooperative relationship between the two schools. On the one hand, this allows the master’s student to hone and apply what he or she has learned; on the other hand, it also gives the students at Hsinchu Girls’ Senior High School the opportunity to engage in experimental humanities and social sciences education during their spare time.

Between September 2025 and January 2026, there are a total of 7 philosophy club courses, listed below: (1) The Myth of the Garden of Eden (2) The Myth of Prometheus (3) A Brief History of Mythology: Taking Chinese Mythology as an Example (4) Sexual Crimes and Gender Justice: How to Make Accountability Possible in Different Contexts? (5) Freud’s Interpretation of Dreams (6) Foucault on Discipline and Punishment: The Birth of Modernity (7) Philosophy of Psychotherapy: Taking Adult Children Syndrome as an Example. The purpose of this series of courses is to guide students through several important topics in the “Humanities” and “Social Sciences”, giving high school students the opportunity to access toward a broader range of historical and social issues, thereby experiencing the feeling of conducting critical thinking or research in colleges and universities.
