Sustainable Development Goals

Abstract/Objectives

To enhance dormitory heads’ understanding of smart green energy applications and sustainable development, students were led on a visit to the Shalun Green Energy Technology Demonstration Site. Through on-site tours and professional explanations, students gained first-hand insights into the planning concepts of smart green communities, as well as the operation of clean energy supply, energy management, and smart power dispatch systems, thereby broadening their overall perspective on smart energy and sustainable cities.

Results/Contributions

This activity took dormitory heads on a visit to the Shalun Green Energy Technology Demonstration Site. Through the smart green community demonstrations and energy system displays, students gained first-hand insights into the operation of clean energy supply, energy management, and smart power dispatch systems, as well as the practical applications of solar power generation and smart home appliances in everyday living environments. Under the guidance and explanations of professional staff, students not only developed a deeper understanding of how smart energy systems enhance energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions, but also further explored the feasibility of introducing smart appliances and renewable energy into dormitory spaces, considering how technology can be leveraged to improve dormitory energy management and living quality. At the same time, students engaged in exchanges and discussions on issues such as dormitory electricity-use behavior, energy conservation, and campus energy management, receiving concrete and practical recommendations. Through this visit, dormitory heads effectively enhanced their understanding and practical thinking regarding smart green energy applications and energy management, laying a solid foundation for promoting campus sustainability and low-carbon living.
