Sustainable Development Goals
Abstract/Objectives
1 Do and 3 Don't: for dine-in, the stores do provide reusable tableware; for to-go, the stores do not offer disposable tableware, plastic bags, or plastic straws.
NTHU implements environmental sustainability as the development goal, establish green environmental protection measures for the campus, reduce the use of disposable tableware, and encourage teachers and students to bring their own environmentally friendly tableware to enhance the environmental awareness of protection and caring for the earth.
Results/Contributions
- Current situation: When dining in the restaurant,the stores provide reusable bowls and plates and do not provide disposable tableware, plastic bags, and plastic straws.
- Promoting: For those who bring their own environmentally friendly lunch boxes, the stores will give discounts on purchases as an encouragement.
- Future Plan: Besides providing reusable bowls and plates in the cafeteria, the rental tableware will also be evaluated for take-outs to offer reusable, environmentally friendly lunch boxes.
