Sustainable Development Goals
Abstract/Objectives
This project aims to develop novel meshfree and variational multiscale framework to resolve the numerical instability raised by the conventional simulation tool. We also introduce the concept of machine learning and data driven mechanics to compromise the data scarcity in the mechanical analysis. This research aims to apply the developed techniques in different extreme problems and will benefits to the academia development in the discipline of the numerical analysis.
Results/Contributions
Our team have developed a meshfree method for incompressible material and a machine learning enhanced mechanics framework for modeling large deformation problem. We also made 3 international journal publications. The team member also obtain the third place in the student paper competition in the Conference on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, CTAM 2021. This project currently funds few master students and will devote into the industry after their graduation this year.
