With the theme of “Promoting Healthy Life for Workers in Hsinchu Science Park,” this project combines faculty community learning, field investigations, and practical teaching to discuss topics to activate the university’s resources and neighboring fields, combining to create a green creative life of mutual learning, co-creation and mutual benefit.
By implementing this plan, teachers’ professional integration is established, with “healthy living promotion” as the significant pillar. The subject of this project and the concept of five greens (greenness, green movement, green environment, greenfield, green energy) are discussed and integrated into the development of teaching materials and curriculum innovation through teacher community meetings, combined with the content of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), to improve the “healthy quality of life” as the central idea of the curriculum, and cultivate students’ potentials. And hope students link actual life with the content from school courses, solve the social issue observed from the discussion, and put the philosophy of “learning by practice” from the educational philosopher Dewey into practice.
The results start with the spirit of altruism and based on the content of relevant teaching materials from community teachers. And use multiple narrative methods such as text, images, body, oral, and technology to present combined art with the “five greens.” The practical results of the cross-field innovative course “Green Creative Life” of curatorial, community, tourism, and technology. In the future, under the opportunity of industry-government-academic cooperation, “Park Physical and Mental Health Management Center” will be established under the “Hsinchu Science Industrial Park Administration,” to enhance the physical and mental health management of park workers and improve the health of park workers quality of life.
