Sustainable Development Goals
Abstract/Objectives
Each year in December, the library hosts the Book Exchange event, promoting the reuse and sharing of books. A book collection drive begins in November, and participants, including students, faculty, and community members, are given exchange points. These points can be used to select books during the event. Prior to the event's start, many book enthusiasts arrive early at the entrance, eager to secure their favorite books. The Book Exchange event not only encourages resource reuse but also allows participants to leave with a sense of fulfillment, making it a highly anticipated annual event beloved by readers.
Results/Contributions

This year's Book Exchange event collected over 3,600 books and audiovisual materials, with the aim of promoting resource sharing and finding new owners for these items. The event attracted enthusiastic participation from both the campus community and local residents. The exchange included a wide variety of books, such as literature, foreign language books, novels, leisure publications, and children's books, along with past periodical issues available to the public. Participants were seen exploring the shelves, carrying stacks of books, with some even wheeling away suitcases filled with books. This event not only facilitated the reuse of idle books but also contributed to the sustainable circulation of resources, allowing more people to access valuable books and further promoting knowledge sharing and sustainability.
