Sustainable Development Goals

Abstract/Objectives

To jointly promote environmental sustainability, the university collaborates with private enterprises to offer discounted electric shared scooter services for faculty and students. This initiative aims to reduce the use of personal vehicles.

Results/Contributions

1. In line with NTHU's Environmental Protection and Occupational Safety and Health Management Policy, various campus sustainability development initiatives are continuously promoted. These include fostering campus biodiversity, responsible dining consumption, green procurement, energy conservation and carbon reduction, and resource recycling and reuse, aiming to create a green campus.

2. Starting in 2024, private enterprises have introduced shared electric scooter services in the Hsinchu area, offering discounted rides for NTHU faculty and students, fostering a culture of net-zero carbon emissions and environmental friendliness.

3. From May 2024 to December 2025, a total of 1,504 teachers and students from NTHU applied to participate, with a usage rate of 5,953 times.
