Sustainable Development Goals
Abstract/Objectives
Protein structure and its biological function is correlated. This course provides students the theory of X-ray crystal diffraction and trains them skilled in the steps of biomacromolecular crystallography. They can apply this method in basic structural biology and biomedical research or enzyme-engineering, drug development and other biotechnology to promote and ensure the health and well-being of all age groups.
Results/Contributions

1.   Most students enrolled in this course could be engaged in basic scientific research in structural biology and/or biomedicine.

2.   Students enrolled in this course have the structural biology-related training and opportunity to work in the biotechnology industry after graduation. This course not only contributes to the development of basic science, but also provides an indispensable theoretical basis for biotechnology such as enzyme engineering and new drug development.

A total of 30 students completed the course in 2018-2020.
