Sustainable Development Goals
Abstract/Objectives
Launched in 2023, the Tsinghua Student Sustainability Ambassadors program promotes sustainable development at Tsinghua University. Organized by the Regional Innovation Center and the student group "Tsinghua Green Point," it aims to foster collaboration between students and the administration, enhancing understanding of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The initiative encourages students to lead sustainability efforts on campus and extends their impact socially. Students are either recommended or recruited to become ambassadors, working alongside sustainability officers to implement programs and organize events like "Tsinghua Sustainability Month." They receive training, funding, and recognition for their contributions. Since its inception, the program has involved 58 ambassadors, hosting numerous training and exchange sessions. Activities include assisting in sustainability reporting, organizing eco-friendly initiatives, and showcasing projects during university anniversaries. Through these efforts, the program aims to improve campus sustainability and engage the broader community.
