Abstract/Objectives
The Hult Prize at NTHU is committed to offering students the platform to present their innovative proposals for startups that can foster positive social change. The event was honored to feature Professor Ying-Che Hsieh and PhD Candidate Grace Li-Hsiang Yi, who enlightened the audience with their talk on "How Can Startups Create Positive Social Impact?".

PhD candidate Yi and Professor Hsieh imparted their expertise on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), touching upon areas such as Corporate Social Responsibility and Social Enterprise. Through their insights, the audience was able to grasp the transformative effects that new startups and business models have on society, especially in terms of their positive contributions and solutions to pressing social issues. In addition to discussing the broader scope of startups, PhD candidate Yi highlighted specific startups and social enterprises in Hsinchu, enriching the audience's comprehension of the local community.

A standout social enterprise discussed was PackAge+. This innovative venture is committed to addressing the challenge of disposable packaging waste in Taiwan's online shopping sector. PhD candidate Yi's firsthand accounts from her interviews with PackAge+ were among the most illuminating and impactful parts of the presentation.

It was evident that many attendees were captivated by the ideas presented and displayed a keen interest in learning more about sustainable development within the startup ecosystem. Hosting this workshop on the NTHU campus presents a valuable opportunity to champion the ideals of SDGs.
