Abstract/Objectives
The course focuses on Taiwan's native plants, enabling students to understand the relationship between the environment and ecology. It cultivates students' basic abilities to recognize and cultivate native plants and horticulture, and incorporates practical work into the campus environment. The course collaborates with the Taiwan Native Plant Conservation Association to carry out nursery planning, leading students to learn various propagation techniques such as cuttings and seeding to cultivate Taiwan's native plants. The students apply what they learn to actual life by planting native plants in the Zhaiqiu dormitory complex, beautifying the space and creating an environment with ecological diversity.

Course Objective:

The main focus of this course is to discuss and develop ideas for environmental and ecological construction, with an emphasis on cultivating Taiwan's native plants and creating a sustainable environment. Students will be actively involved in planting native plants to beautify the environment.


Practical activities and services:

1. Visit the Tsing Hua Butterfly Garden to identify different plants and butterfly species and understand the relationship between the environment and ecology. Discuss how to use Taiwan's native plants to beautify the campus.

2. Collaborate with the Taiwan Native Plant Conservation Association on seedling activities.

3. Investigate the species of plants in the campus forest.

4. Organize activities to plant and beautify native plants on the campus hills.
