Abstract/Objectives
This course provides basic concepts in pharmacology such as pharmacokinetics, biotransformation and drug metabolism, drug-receptor interactions, pharmacodynamics, toxicology and adverse effects. The underlying mechanisms of action and therapeutic effects of selected drug classes in clinical use are going to be introduced to students. In addition, the lecture presents the processes staying behind drug discovery and development.
Results/Contributions

1.     Most students enrolled in this course will be engaged in medical research or clinical practice after graduation. Therefore, we hope that after completion of pharmacology training program, these future professionals will be able to apply knowledge in drug development and clinical research in order to improve the health condition and well-being of people of all age groups.

2.     A total of 62 students completed the course in 2018-2020.

3.     22 participants who completed the course in 2018-2020 were students in interdisciplinary programs. They might get involved in different specialised fields in the future and advance the development of medicine and health care.
