Center of Innovation Incubator is a building that comprises 9 floors above ground and 2 basement levels, with a total floor area of 19,796.31 m2. It is located at South Campus of NTHU, close to Science-based industrial park and Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI). To combine the surrounding research and development resources with college campus, it started operating in April, 2016. Until 2017, it was the largest innovation incubation center of all universities in Taiwan. The design of the building is based on the green building standards in aspect of configuration orientation, spatial planning, usage of building materials, exterior wall with green building concepts such as energy saving and recycling. In the EEWH Green Building Evaluation System of Taiwan, green building can be classified into 5 levels: Certified, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Diamond, while Center of Innovation Incubator has been rated diamond level through these indicators: Greenery, Water content of the site, Water Conservation, Daily Energy Conservation, CO2 Emission Reduction, Construction Waste Reduction, Sewage and waste disposal facility improvement, and Indoor Environment. The Center of Innovation Incubator achieves the highest ranking of the green building evaluation system.
