1.Campus domestic wastewater：

(1) The domestic wastewater from NTHU main campus is collected into the sewerage system of Hsinchu city.

(2) The domestic wastewater from Nan-Da campus is first treated by the university’s wastewater treatment plant and be dumped to 客雅溪.

2.Laboratory wastewater：

(1)The wastewater produced from experimental sites and laboratories should be collected first and delivered the wastewater treatment plants in the north and south campus.

(2)The wastewater can be dumped only after being processed in the wastewater treatment plants.

(3) Laboratory wastewater is managed by the ‘regulation governing to laboratory wastewater of NTHU’ enacted by ESH.

3.In cooperation with the promotion of the campus occupational safety and health management system (ISO45001), in 2021-2022, the wastewater treatment plant will be sorted out, hazard identification and risk assessment will be carried out, and the operation of the wastewater treatment plant will be strengthened.

4.The entire campus is located within a water source and water quality protection area, and by law, it is required to establish a wastewater collection system and wastewater treatment facilities. This is done to centrally manage and thoroughly process all wastewater from various campus buildings, ensuring compliance with national effluent standards. The treated wastewater, including domestic sewage, is then directed into the Hsinchu city sewer system. This implementation aligns with the management of rainwater and wastewater separation.
