Sustainable Development Goals
Abstract/Objectives
Health is more than just numbers; it is an attitude toward life! This year, the Health Service Division teamed up with a multi-disciplinary professional team to launch a "Health Transformation Journey." We invited expert dietitians from Cathay General Hospital to decode the science of nutrition, while instructors from the Office of Physical Education guided participants on how to transition from "exercising right" to "exercising often."
Participants shared that even subtle dietary tweaks led to remarkable changes in their physique and health metrics, such as waist circumference and body fat. Through these sessions, participants mastered precise movement forms to avoid injuries, evolving from fitness novices into enthusiasts. Together, we are weaving the "Health YES Sss-sir!" spirit into every corner of our campus, fostering a community full of confidence and vitality!
Results/Contributions
2025 Health Promotion Series — NTHU All-In: Health? YES sir!
Took place from March 1 to May 31, featuring a specialized "Summer Weight Loss Bootcamp" and micro-credit courses that engaged 35 core participants in a comprehensive program consisting of nutritional and exercise lectures (122 person-times), dynamic fitness sessions such as aerobics and resistance training (118 person-times), and a campus-wide run (11 participants). Alongside these targeted efforts, a broader campus initiative encouraged the entire university community to track health metrics and participate in the "NTHU Simulator," an AR interactive mission developed in collaboration with the student startup "Colon D" to gamify healthy walking habits, ultimately drawing a total of 1,569 person-times across the series.
