Abstract/Objectives

Guided by the Overseas Community Affairs Council and organized by National Taiwan University of Sport, the 2025 National Game for Overseas Compatriot Students saw our university competing this year in badminton and men’s basketball. In preparation for the games, students stepped out of their dormitories and committed themselves to regular practice and physical training, demonstrating their passion and dedication through action. During the competitions, the venue was filled with cheers, applause, and bright smiles. Every drop of sweat on the court and every shout of encouragement became a true testament to youth and sportsmanship. Regardless of the final results, the value and meaning of the games went far beyond winning or losing, leaving behind lasting memories of teamwork, growth, and shared pride.

  1. Strengthened cohesion and teamwork among overseas compatriot students: Through joint training and preparation across different years and departments, the event promoted interaction, cooperation, and a strong sense of team spirit among overseas compatriot students.
  2. Cultivated sportsmanship and positive engagement: By actively participating in the competition, students learned the importance of dedication, respect for opponents, and enjoying the process, deepening their understanding of sportsmanship and fair play.
  3. Encouraged community bonding and experience sharing: With support and guidance from senior students, participants from different academic years were able to share experiences, learn from one another, and continue the spirit and traditions of the overseas compatriot student community.
  4. Enhanced sense of identity with the university and overseas compatriot student organizations: Through participation in a national-level sporting event, students developed a stronger sense of belonging to the university and its overseas compatriot student organizations, while showcasing the energy and vitality of the student community.
