Abstract/Objectives
The team built the "STEM with A Play and Creative School" in Shakeng Elementary School in Hengshan Township, Hsinchu County. From the beginning, we solicited school space, planned and constructed with the spirit of maker, and even the tables and chairs used adhered to the maker spirit of "make your own tables and chairs yourself". In terms of software resources, the team has customized several teacher training courses, including “STEM with A” education concept, laser cutting machine and 3D printer operation application. Teachers can learn the basic skills of makers ~ laser engraving machine, 3D printer, and learn how to use the "STEAM123" guided teaching concept to set up children's workshop teaching to improve their new thinking in STEAM education.
Results/Contributions
After completed the construction of “STEM with A Play Creative School” demonstration base at Shakeng, we held “Teacher Training Camp of STEM with A” which participated by the teachers from Shakeng Elementary School, also Dadu Elementary School and other educational units in Hengshan Township.
