Abstract/Objectives
The outbreak of the COVID-19 has severely hit global economic activities, especially the tourism industry. With the implementation of the "lock-in" policy in most countries and the implementation of the Taiwanese government's anti-epidemic measures, the scope and methods of Taiwanese travel have also been restricted. However, some people still have a need for travel, so they may change their original travel ways. This study aims to explore the travel substitution behavior of Taiwanese people during the epidemic. Based on the theory of planned behavior, the theoretical model of planned behavior is expanded through risk perception additional variables, and then the degree of risk perception of Taiwanese people during the epidemic and the change in travel behavior patterns are analyzed, as well as the alternative tourism that it may engage in in the six aspects of food, lodging, transport, shopping and entertainment in the future.
Results/Contributions

There is very little research in Taiwan on substitution travel behaviors that Taiwanese may engage in during the epidemic. Therefore, this research expects:

1. Understand what kind of change on food, lodging, transport, shopping and entertainment people may have during the COVID-19 epidemic.

2. Check that the perceived risks of Taiwanese during the epidemic have a negative impact on their attitudes, subjective norms, and behavioral control of their tourism behavior.

3. To examine the impact of people's perceived risk and tourism behavior attitude, subjective norms, and behavioral control during the epidemic situation on their intention to substitute tourism behavior.

4. Provide future tourism, catering, transportation, accommodation, etc. as references.
