Abstract/Objectives
Starting from 2019, the Forestry Research Institute (FRI) implemented the "National Arboretum Ark Project" to conserve plants classified as threatened (critically endangered, endangered, or vulnerable) according to the Red List of Vascular Plants of Taiwan, as well as to conserve regional rare plants in situ.The project is coordinated by the Taipei Botanical Garden, and includes six national botanical gardens, the Endemic Spicies Research Institute, and relevant non-governmental organizations, which share the responsibility for plant conservation and restoration. This paper examines the place of botanical gardens in the public domain, as a multi-faceted venues due to the integration of scientific investigation, conservation and education acts within a public attraction. In its educational positioning, the botanical garden is also entrusted with the role of addressing the public's concern for plant awareness disparity, as plant awareness disparity is emblematic of the dangers of modern civilization's disconnection from plants. This study integrates these relationships and demonstrates that the educational function of Taipei botanical garden affects the public's sensitivity to the plants. around them, which in turn affects the public's perceptual value of other botanical gardens. A questionnaire survey will be conducted among the participants of Taipei botanical garden. This study will conduct a questionnaire survey on visitors to the Taipei Botanical Garden in Taiwan. And through online analysis to understand the public evaluation of the Mlyňany Arboretum in Slovakia, as a public understanding of the value of this part of the National Botanical Garden.
Results/Contributions

The research results include the findings that the visitors’ satisfaction with learning in the botanical garden is highly correlated with the visitors’ perceptions of the identification services provided by the botanical gardens. It has suggested that future management can provide corresponding identification services in this direction to promote the botanical gardens to the function of public education.
