Through this recital, we hope that everyone would be more aware of ancient and modern poetry as well as Chinese culture. Besides, we could build students’ confidence and performance style by reciting on the stage. During the recital, students performed the chanting skills, vocal techniques, and show the meaning of the poems completely. Prof. Wei-Tien Dylan Tsai also chose some of the students to lead chanting the selected poems, and their beautiful voice had livened the recital up. At the same time, Ms. Wu performed dance improvisation on the stage, brought auditory and visual enjoyment for the audience. We appreciate that lots of teachers and guests came to listen our recital, and also profoundly thankful for the support in equipment and funds from Research Center for Humanities and Social Sciences, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Department of Chinese Literature, National Tsing Hua University, so that we could pass the culture of ancient and modern Chinese poetry on to the next generation.
