Abstract/Objectives
For the course of singular perturbation equations, we emphasize that in the field of applied mathematics, pure mathematical theory and numerical methods are complementary. In many practical models, if the singular perturbation method can be directly processed, the asymptotic solution obtained can be compared with the numerical results, further confirming the correctness of the two aspects. Conversely, for the problems that the singular perturbation method cannot directly deal with, if you observe the numerical results first, you may also get some inspiration, and then develop a set of singular perturbation methods for special models to study related problems.
Results/Contributions
Most of the students in this course work in technology companies after graduation.
