Abstract/Objectives
The research aims to explore why communication between parents and teenagers is ineffective and how a technology probe system prototype can improve it. The study intends to provide insight into designing future technology that incorporates reminders and advice for healthy technology use for teenagers while reducing phone addiction, and effectively involving parental support. The research seeks to contribute to reducing phone addiction among teenagers with technological support systems while addressing a serious social issue. The project also hopes to provide a unique perspective based on teenagers' willingness to use designed systems that will make further scientific contributions.
Results/Contributions

This research aims to use technology probes to gain an in-depth understanding of why current communication between parents and teenagers is considered "ineffective," and how our designed technology probe system prototype can improve this communication. Furthermore, we hope to discuss how future system designs can better incorporate appropriate reminders and advice for healthy technology use for teenagers or effectively involve parental support to reduce phone addiction. We hope to provide a unique perspective to future system designs that teenagers are willing to use and can effectively reduce the serious social problem of phone addiction among teenagers with technological support systems, making further scientific contributions.
