Abstract/Objectives
This course aims to understand gender development and its context through theoretical and research literature, examine/observe gender stereotypes in society and culture, and criticize/interpret gender stereotypes and gender ideologies in teaching materials or media through video/picture book/textbook review and reflection on daily life. In addition, this course explores issues related to gender education from the perspective of child development. It is hoped that this course will cultivate gender awareness and develop age-appropriate curricula and instruction on gender education.
Results/Contributions
This course helps students become aware of gender stereotypes and ideologies in various media and daily life and strengthens their abiliy to develop age-appropriate gender education curricula and instruction.
