Cui-Xuan’s mother came to Taiwan with her sister from Vietnam after going through the marriage formalities with her husband five and a half years ago. Because she doesn't know Chinese, she can only do some labor work to earn a small amount of money. Even the marriage procedures are completed by borrowing money from others. In addition, Cui-Xuan's mother had to make money to pay the agency fee to bring Cui-Xuan to Taiwan, so she was busy working day and night to pay off her debts.
Cui-Xuan's mother actually came to Taiwan to work fifteen years ago, and later ran away because she couldn't bear the difficulties brought by her work. The documentary also explores the problems and situations that migrant workers face in Taiwan.
Later, Cui-Xuan's mother was diagnosed by a doctor that she had a benign tumor and had to undergo surgery. But later, because of his poor health, he had to leave his current job and live by growing and selling vegetables.
Most of the themes of this documentary record the lives of his mother and sister after they came to Taiwan. Through this filming, they can truly appreciate the difficulties and pains they have experienced, and have a more and deeper understanding of the migrant worker situation in Taiwan.
