Sustainable Development Goals
Abstract/Objectives
The course introduces terahertz science and technology, including terahertz components, terahertz system. Moreover, it presents the state-of-the-art technologies and know-hows. Furthermore, students will learn to apply them into daily life and modern society, for instance by developing terahertz technologies, building Internet of things, enhancing network coverage, along with striking a balance of internet resources between remote areas and urban regions.
Results/Contributions
1. Students organize seminars and invite professionals from industries by themselves.
2. Students reach out to communities on their own and teach them principles of terahertz and cultivate common knowledge, as well as guide pupils from primary and middle school to broaden their horizons in terms of science.
3. The instructor, as a leading mentor, guides students basing on Socratic method. Every student group takes turns to share the contents of take-home readings. Students off the stage can ask anything anytime.
