Abstract/Objectives
The course is a basic course of partial differential equations related to some physics, electrochemistry, and biological models, mainly including elliptic equations (e.g., electric potential equation), parabolic equations (e.g., heat conduction equation), hyperbolic equations (e.g., wave equation). This course will focus on the fundamental models, such as qualitative analysis of solutions and their related applications.
Results/Contributions

In this course, attendees are able to solve linear elliptic differential equations, parabolic differential equations, and hyperbolic differential equations in one-dimensional space, as well as some physical backgrounds and related phenomena corresponding to these solutions. They also understand the related Green function and maximum principle of these equations in high-dimensions.
