Abstract/Objectives
To address the traffic problems caused by the vast campus area, the school leases vehicles from vendors that have been inspected and certified by the supervisory authorities for normal maintenance. These vehicles are used to shuttle teachers and students, mainly providing campus bus services between the main campus and the second auxiliary campus.
Results/Contributions

1. Campus shuttles are mainly for the use of faculty and students commuting between the north and south campuses. The route follows a circular path, taking approximately 15 minutes to complete one loop. There are two lines - red and green, with 11 runs of large buses and 119 runs of mid-sized buses per day. 2. In order to provide convenient transportation for faculty and students commuting between the two campuses (main campus and south campus) for classes and official business, shuttle services are provided between the two campuses, with 28 runs per day. 3. National Tsing Hua University students have a high rate of motorbike usage, with up to 20,000 motorcycles on campus. In order to encourage students to take the bus more and reduce motorcycle accidents, as well as to make transportation between campuses more convenient, the Hsinchu City government and the university jointly planned the introduction of a new bus route, Route 83. Starting from November 1, 2019, Route 83 city buses enter the campus, allowing faculty and students to commute between the two campuses and directly to the city's transfer station. There are 24 runs on weekdays (including 4 runs of direct shuttles between the two campuses). 4. Each semester, the frequency of bus runs is adjusted based on course selection numbers, club demands, and actual ridership. Students are encouraged to take Route 83 buses more frequently, which is expected to alleviate traffic congestion and reduce motorcycle accident rates and environmental issues.
