This department, along with the Moonlight Literary Award Working Committee, will hold an exchange dinner with the International College of Hong Kong Baptist University (referred to as "HKBU") on June 30, 2025.

We welcome Professor Lin Huiwen from HKBU and her students to Tsinghua University's School of Humanities. This dinner specifically invites winners of the Moonlight Literary Award to engage in literary exchanges with the participating students, including our department's students and the president of the student association.

The students from both universities engaged in lively discussions. Following speeches by Dr. Hou Daoru, Head of the Chinese Department at Tsinghua, and Professor Lin Huiwen from HKBU, a cultural dialogue between Taiwan and Hong Kong commenced. In addition to sharing their favorite books, the students exchanged recommendations for local delicacies and discussed academic features of both areas.

The Moonlight Literary Award Working Committee designed a series of activities for this exchange dinner to enhance its literary atmosphere. The "Poetry Exchange" activity allowed students to create lasting memories. By drawing keywords, the students composed three-line poems that reflected Tsinghua’s campus, Taiwanese and Hong Kong cuisine, and elements of Chinese literature, which were then crafted into beautiful poetry tags. After the dinner, students could take home the poetry tags they preferred, along with a small gift from the Moonlight Literary Award preparation, titled "Collection of Moonlight," enriching their literary experience. The Moonlight Literary Award Working Committee also interviewed Professor Lin Huiwen after the event to gather her thoughts as an alumnus regarding Tsinghua, the Chinese Department, and this exchange activity.

Once again, we express our gratitude to Professor Lin Huiwen and the academic and cultural exchange group from HKBU. This dinner not only promotes cultural exchange between Hong Kong and Taiwan but also embodies the shared interest in literature between the students of both universities through the theme of "friendship through books."
