Abstract/Objectives
This course focuses on computational problems in molecular biology, specifically computational biology. It covers the design and analysis of algorithms for solving various issues such as sequence alignment, string matching, sequence fragment assembly, physical mapping, evolutionary tree construction, RNA secondary structure prediction, etc.
Results/Contributions

This course will introduce some computational problems related to molecular biology (i.e. computational biology), and focus on the design and analysis of algorithms to solve these problems. Topics that will be discussed in this course include sequence alignment, string matching, sequence fragment assembly, physical mapping, evolutionary tree construction, RNA secondary structure prediction, etc.
