Abstract/Objectives
The main content of this class is to explore how neurons regulate complex biological behaviors. To Learn how to use genetic technology to manipulate and observe the activity of neurons, and study how the neural network works in the brain by observing changes in behavior.
Results/Contributions

Students in this course learned how neural networks regulate behavior, what are false memories, how to form memories, and how to study behavior and memory formation in the brains of model animals by manipulating gene. Finally, Yushan scholar professor Tim Tully explained how to study the formation of memory on the model organism fruit fly. At the end of the course, the students gave a talk to share their research work and how to link to this course, and interacted and discussed with the audience. After that they got many new ideas for their studies.
