Abstract/Objectives
The purposes of this study were to use a two-year program to enhance the understanding of special education preservice teachers in the areas of language arts, mathematics, and special needs domain courses in the Curriculum Guidelines of 12-Year Basic Education through professional knowledge training, practical workshops, collaborative teaching, and teacher communities. And improve the curriculum design ability and field teaching ability of special education preservice teachers.
Results/Contributions
The results of the study found that the professional knowledge training had a high degree of satisfaction among participating students. This program also regularly discusses the special education preservice teacher lesson plan design through the teacher community, they also found that preservice teachers scored the highest when the lesson plan conformed to the curriculum guidelines, the unit structure was organized, the goal was to integrate knowledge, skills, and attitudes, and the environment for teaching activities was properly arranged. Difficulties in interdisciplinary learning, issues integration, and multi-level teaching methods.
