Abstract/Objectives
This course is for advanced oil painting creation. The course content includes:
1. Knowledge of oil painting materials and the history of techniques.
2. Inheritance of classical aesthetic mood: Meditation on the idealized world.
3. Aesthetic judgment of form and atmosphere: Exploration of linear and painterly painting techniques.
4. The double judgment of thematic schema and structural schema.
5. Adjustment of the relationship between image, brushwork and color.
Results/Contributions
Students can deepen their understanding and practical judgment of oil painting techniques, learn the aesthetic differences between traditional and modern and contemporary oil painting, and develop their creative potential. The end-of-term results are the completion of five works.
