Abstract/Objectives
This course is centered around the theme of "Park ESG" and is designed to encourage and support students in the humanities and social sciences to understand the development and needs of businesses in the Hsinchu Science Park. It explores the potential for humanities and social sciences students to engage with the tech industry through ESG thinking, and investigates the value and positioning of humanities and social sciences in contemporary society and industry.
Results/Contributions
The learning outcomes will be demonstrated through the following three group assignments, with each group consisting of three to four students:
1. Assignment 1: Select a company from the Hsinchu Science Park, read its sustainability report, interview the sustainability manager to understand the company’s sustainability strategies, achievements, and challenges, and write a sustainability report for the company.
2. Assignment 2: Participate as a group in the planning and execution of an ESG forum, gaining hands-on experience.
3. Assignment 3: Present an ESG proposal at the end of the course and pitch it to a partner company.
