Abstract/Objectives
Since November 1, 2016, to provide convenient transportation services for teachers and students on both campuses, the shuttle bus service had been set up. Currently, the shuttle bus comes back and forth 27 times per day between these two campuses on weekdays. The free shuttle bus is available from 7:10 to 22:55. Since 2018, the university has applied for the bus to enter the campus to the Hsinchu City Government, and finally started to operate the route 83 city bus on November 1, 2019. It is convenient to travel between the two campuses and allow students to take the bus directly to Hsinchu Bus Station.
Results/Contributions
The free shuttle bus comes 27 times per day, 1,580 times per year between Main Campus and Nanda Campus of NTHU. It reduces 18,885 tons of carbon emission per year from riding motorcycles. Encouraging teachers and students to take the campus shuttle bus and the route 83 city bus can effectively reduce exhaust emission and air pollution, and improve energy efficiency.
