To prevent the climate change, developing sustainable energy and energy storage systems is one of the most important issues in the development of science and technology today. Cultivating scientists and engineers with energy-related technologies and sustainable responsibilities through courses is an important part of promoting the development of the energy industry. The content of this course includes basic electrochemical theory, important concepts, development status, and market demand for supercapacitors, lithium-ion batteries, and fuel cells. The course first introduces the principles and electrochemical basis of various energy storage devices to enhance students' understanding of advanced energy technologies. Then introduce the characteristics and development of the energy storage system to promote students' understanding of the development and market of the energy industry. This course will help cultivate advanced energy technology talents and give full play to the benefits of energy storage systems in developing sustainable energy.

Abstract/Objectives
This course introduces materials for energy storage applications through supercapacitors, batteries, and fuel cells to students. In addition, this course will be helpful to students in understanding the concepts of energy storage. The course would also teach students essential techniques and technology for batteries/supercapacitors/fuel cells and establish students' understanding of sustainable environmental responsibility.
